Our purpose is to provide information about Icelandic sheep to the general public and to facilitate the exchange of information between members and breeders.   ISBONA also promotes the special attributes and products of these unique sheep.

Quarterly Newsletter

ISBONA's high quality, professional newsletter is not only our basic means of communication amongst members, but also serves as an educational tool. Articles of interest include anything about Icelandic sheep, Iceland, farm profiles, flock management, pasture management, health, working with the Icelandic fleece and wool, recipes, etc.
 

Lending Library

Our library, through fundraisers and donations has an extensive listing of books and video tapes available for loan to all current members of ISBONA.
 

Internet Discussion Group

On-line email forum for the Icelandic sheep breeder/owner community to share information about Icelandic sheep, their care, and related topics among members. You must be an ISBONA member to join this forum.
 

Web Site Breeders Listing

Breeders listing includes many ISBONA members, but a listing here is not an endorsement by ISBONA of any individual farm. In looking for breeding stock, be sure to find a knowledgeable breeder who is willing to offer you pre-sale and after-sale support in your purchase of Icelandic sheep.
 

Annual General Membership Meeting

Annual General Membership Meetings (AGM) are held yearly by ISBONA. Meetings rotate across the US. The 2008 meeting will be on the West Coast; 2009 will be on the East Coast.

Membership Levels
 

Newsletter Member ($20/year)

Newsletter subscription, library privileges, internet discussion group membership, access to all ISBONA-sponsored events. No voting privileges.
 

Full Member($30/year)

Newsletter subscription, library privileges, internet discussion group membership, access to all ISBONA-sponsored events, voting privileges, inclusion in members' breeders directory. Must be actively breeding and registering Icelandic sheep.
 

Website Member ($55/year)

Newsletter subscription, library privileges, internet discussion group membership, access to all ISBONA-sponsored events, voting privileges, inclusion in members' breeders directory, ISBONA website Breeders Listing with email address and web site link. Must be actively breeding and registering Icelandic sheep.

Print and mail this form with your check to the address on the form. Membership runs from August to July each year.
