This year's Annual General Meeting and Sheep Show will be held in conjunction with the Big Sky Fiber Arts Festival in Hamilton, MT. The festival runs from Friday, June 10 through Sunday, June 12. It includes a sheep and an angora goat show, a lot of wonderful vendors, various demonstrations, a fiber arts showcase, a skein contest, a wool show and sale and many interesting workshops.
If we get enough Icelandic fleece entries, they will be judged in their own division, and will qualify for ISBONA premiums!
The National Icelandic Show will be on Saturday, June 11, and the AGM and dinner will be that same evening. The location and time for the dinner/meeting will be announced later. The judge for the sheep show will be Correy McAtee of Prineville, OR.

Among the workshops are 2 classes by Alethea Kenney that some of you may find interesting. ("Minerals 101: Why Sheep Need Certain Minerals" and "Herbs for the Farm: Medicinal Plants for Sheep and their Shepherds") Please note: ISBONA members wishing to attend Alethea's classes should note on the Registration Form that they are ISBONA members, and their fees for the classes will be paid.
This festival occurs every other year and is always an enjoyable weekend. June in Montana can be beautiful. Or it can be chilly and rainy. So be prepared for either. (Actually, I've seen it snow in June, but we won't talk about that... it could as easily be 80 degrees!)
